Similar to other doula work, bereveament services focus on compassionate care during times of grief, including emotional, mental and physical support. I am trained with the 'Still Birth Day' organization to offer these supports with empathy and understanding.
Emotional Support
I am focused on providing a compassionate and empathetic presence to individuals and their families who are experiencing all types of grief. I will offer a safe space for expressing emotions, talking about your feelings, and sharing memories of your sweet baby. I can help advocate for the wishes and preferences of your family, ensuring that you and your families needs and choices are respected while you are navigating this process.
Informational Support
As a bereveament doula, I can offer information about the grieving process, the physical and emotional aspects of loss, and available community resources for coping and healing. Together, we will work to understand what to expect during your loss and how to navigate the grief journey. I can help with practical matters such as making arrangements, coordinating with funeral homes or other services, and providing guidance on necessary paperwork.
Post-Loss Support
Following your families loss, you are going to sail and steer through the waves of grief. This is not a linear process. I will continue to offer support to you and your family in the weeks and months following your loss. Support can be completely virtual or a mix of virtual and in person. I am here for you and your family.
Creating Memories
Even though this is a painful, sensitive moment in your life journey, you should feel comfortable in celebrating your baby if you choose. I can assist in creating cherished memories by taking photographs, creating keepsakes, or organizing memorial ceremonies.
